KO101 Boxing Club of Allen adds another Championship Title to their list of
accomplishments.

Sunday the 11th. There were  about 30 boxing clubs in attendance from all over the metroplex including Waco and as far away as Houston.

For the second time Marcus Foster of Carrollton, a 165 lb weight class Senior Novice won his division stopping his opponent in the third round by TKO in what was a brilliant display of skill and endurance. Marcus Foster
With a 5 and 3 record was also a semi finalist in the Dallas Golden Gloves
in February earlier this year.
Ryan McElvaine also of Carrollton, a 152 lb weight class Senior Novice
was runner up by close decision.
Both of these young men have done extremely well in their last two competitions. Marcus and Ryan both won their respective divisions in the September 19th Tournament in Mckinney.

KO101 of Allen is becoming a force to be reckoned with in the amateur boxing arena in the Dallas - Ft Worth area. They will be going to Ft Worth once again on December 5th for another competition and will be their last competition of the year as they train for the Dallas Golden Gloves in February. The Dallas Golden Gloves is a four day tournament with as many as four hundred competitors and is considered by many as the super bowl of amateur boxing in the Dallas area.

Sugar Ray Leonard in Allen Texas

KO 101 Boxing and Allen Family Martial Arts hosted the World Champion and Gold Medalist Sugar Ray Leonard, this week for a national commercial shoot with local accident attorney Brian Loncar.

KO 101 Boxing gym was filled with stars that day. Burton "Bubba" Gilliam, from Blazing Saddles and 15 time Golden Gloves Champion. Mike Norris, action star and voice actor, son of the legendary martial artist and actor Chuck Norris was also on hand. Former I.B.C. Light Heavy Weight Boxing Champion Billy "The Beast" Flowers and owner of KO 101 Boxing also provided some of the on set back ground action.

Through out the shooting day, Sugar Ray took time to sign autographs for individuals and for local charities sponsored by KO 101 Boxing and Tom Daniels including Achievement Center Of Texas and Harley Angels.

He also took time out of his busy schedule to talk with KO 101 Boxing owner Bill Flowers and Head Coach Jerry Byers, fellow martial artist and instructor David Luginbill of Holan's Texas Karate Do  of Irving Texas, about tactics and training styles. When asked by Coach Byers what he missed the most about boxing, he stated, that what he missed the most about boxing was the training for the fight. The focus it requires to be completely ready to compete. The smell of the gym when you know there is warriors in it, like this one.

Sugar Ray was so impressed with the gym and it's owner and coaches, that he decided to endorse their fight apparel on camera. The commercial will air in just a few weeks showing Sugar wearing KO 101 Boxing fight shirt. For order information and more details contact Bill Flowers at WWW.KO-101.COMor just call at 214-881-8561.

This event was all put together and coordinated by KO 101 Boxing's fight manager and event promoter, Tom Daniels and David Luginbill.
